Breathe L.I.F.E.

Editor's Heart for September 2020

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

~ Hebrews 10:23-25 (NKJV) (emphasis mine)

Today is the day... now is the time... We can no longer straddle the fence. Because of the pressure being put on us by the world around us, we are NOW in the valley of decision. Forget the sideline issues of
whether or not to wear a mask or observe social distancing. Will we forsake the assembly? Will we allow the world system to dictate to us that we cannot come together as the Body of Christ... IN OBEDIENCE TO THE SCRIPTURES? Whether your church is small or large, denominational or nondenominational, or any other man-made divisions and categories, these are not the issues at hand. We are clearly instructed in Scripture to gather as the people of God to consider one another, to stir up love and good works, to exhort each other.

Yes, OK, you can worship God at home. In fact, you SHOULD be worshipping God at home privately, personally. BUT the Scripture also admonishes us that where 2 or 3 are gathered in Jesus' name, He is there (Matthew 18:20). Private worship is essential; corporate worship is likewise necessary. And according to the Scripture from Hebrews (above), we should gather together MORE not less as we see the Day approaching. I see the Day approaching, brothers and sisters. Don't you?

If you are a Pastor, a shepherd of the flock, consider this: What are you saying to your flock about the level of trust you personally place in God if you bow down now and close the doors of the church GOD entrusted to your care? And what will your response be when (not IF) the government makes it illegal to preach the Gospel? This is no time for compromise. This is the time to take a stand before it's too late.

If you are not a Pastor, don't think you are free from responsibility in this matter. We each have to decide how to respond. Will YOU personally allow the world to dictate when, where, and how you can worship? Will YOU personally continue to stay home and watch church online because someone else tells you that's what you have to do?

God has not called us to serve Him in isolation. We are called to be a Body. We are called to lay hands on the sick. We are called to sing together, laugh together, cry together, bear each other's burdens... we cannot do that in isolation. How can we "sing to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Ephesians 5:19) if we can't even be in the same room?
Come on, church, RISE UP! If you bow now, how will you stand later?

Repentance Call

Repentance Call is heading to Jackson AND Vicksburg, this month! The need is great, but our God is greater! On the afternoon of September 25th, a team of spiritual warriors will head to Mississippi to advance the Kingdom of our God. The major outreach activities will take place throughout the day on September 26th.

There are various ways YOU can be involved in this Evangelistic Outreach!

#1. You may want to be a member of the outreach team for a future travel date. Reach out to find out!
#2. While the team is on the road, there will be a group of intercessors praying over the team here at home. Again... reach out to find out! Request membership in the intercessors Facebook group to be up-to-date and involved. (
#3. Finances are always needed to support outreach efforts. The team needs larger transportation, hotel rooms,
gas for the vehicles, meals, tracts, anointing oil, etc.

Servant's Heart Outreach

The Servant's Heart Outreach for the month of September will take place this Saturday, September 12th from 1 to 3 PM. This month, it will be a mobile/traveling outreach. The team will be distributing sack lunches at various locations throughout the city. If you would like to help pack and/or distribute food, contact a member of the team. (Contact information is given below.) If you would like to donate, we typically make packs containing small containers of shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, washcloths, and other personal hygiene items. A full list of supplies needed regularly is available on request. Cash donations are welcome as well.

To donate...
ALL cash donations go directly into supplying the outreaches or other ministry events. There are no salaries or personal expenses paid to any Breathe L.I.F.E. team members.

Personal Note: I would like to encourage anyone who feels a pull to be involved in some type of ministry -- dip your toes in the water by coming out on the street with us for one of these outreaches. I can't even tell you what a blessing it is to minister the Word of God to a receptive, responsive soul. The fields are white for the harvest!
