Editor's Heart for June 2022
[Jesus said,] "For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to [them], even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him."

There is just no escaping it... You cannot honor and serve God the Father without honoring His Son Jesus. Period. Sadly, there are many who believe that by doing good works and giving lip service to "God as I understand Him", they can sidestep Jesus and our mandate to lay down our lives as He laid down His. Yet the Bible makes it very clear: Almighty God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die for us so that we may be cleansed of our sins and set free from our bondage. Set free to worship! Set free to celebrate! Set free to "go and sin no more"! There is NO way to have a relationship with God without Jesus. Honor Him, the one sent by the Father. Honor Him and follow His example of service that truly honors God, that is to lay down our lives for Him as He laid down His life for us.

Father, just as Jesus said, we say also: Nevertheless, let Your will be done and let Your kingdom come in our hearts and in our lives. Let our lives be an acceptable sacrifice in Your sight.

Praise Reports
The RC mission trip to Mayfield, KY, was eye-opening. There was so much devastation from the tornadoes that have hit there. Everywhere we looked, the destruction could be seen. And there was such an atmosphere of hopelessness over the city. Property was destroyed, but lives were spared; and still, people chose not to repent and receive Jesus. As we go from city to city on these Repentance Call mission trips, this is the general state of our nation. Oh how this grieves the heart of God... He reaches out, offers the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, only to be rejected again and again.

And yet, from place to place, we also find the few: Those with the heart of God who are serving fearlessly and faithfully even though they have to do it alone with no support. And we found such a person there in Mayfield, no support from others but pressing on, preaching the gospel, reaching out to the lost because God truly saved him and changed his life. Repentance Call Mission:
The Repentance Call (RC) mission trip to our nation's capital, Washington DC, is taking place the week of July 4, 2022. The team will head out on the afternoon of Saturday, July 3, and return Saturday, July 9, if the Lord says the same. Some general guidelines for intercessors:
|
Pray for the churches/ministries in the host city:
• For laborers to be sent into the harvest. (Matt 8:38)
• To return to their first love and have the fire of God rekindled.
• To have God’s heart for the lost.
• Renewed desire to proclaim the gospel in their own city.
• To not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pray for the RC Team:
• All boldness and clarity to speak the Word of God. (Acts 4:29)
• Health and safety of the team.
• Spiritual preparation for the mission.
• Gentleness, patience, and humility to correct those who are in error. (2 Tim. 2:24-26)
• An open door for the Word to be preached. (Col. 4:2-4)
• To operate in unity and one accord.
• For the world to see the love of God through their love for each other.
Pray for the lost in the host city:
• To receive salvation, deliverance, baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing. These things are the will of God, therefore we can ask with boldness.
• To break the spiritual blindness that stops them from seeing and receiving the light of the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 4:4)
• Spiritual thirst. (John 4:13-15)
• Ears to hear and hearts to receive. (Luke 8:11-15)
• To receive the truth of God’s impending judgment and to realize that His goodness is drawing them to repentance. (Romans 2:4)

Servant's Heart Outreaches
Homeless ministries and other local outreaches are ongoing. Jesus said that the poor will always be with us. And it is our responsibility to reach out to those in need. We are always accepting donations of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, blankets, coats, backpacks... you know the drill!
|
We are assembling care packs to have available at all times for giving as led and able. All sorts of items are needed: wash cloth, wipes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brushes, socks, sunscreen, bug spray, dental floss, hair brushes, combs, lotion, grooming products like nail clippers and files, maxi pads, tampons etc etc etc…. These items are needed all the time, so any donation of these items are one way to help our organization!!!
