Editor's Heart for November 2019
Every year at this time, people's hearts turn toward thankfulness and giving. Even those who haven't given a thought to those things the entire year will find their hearts a bit "warmer" and "fuzzier" as the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach. That's great! I'm all for it! If it takes a national holiday to stir up feelings of gratitude, then amen!

But... (there's always a "but" isn't there?!?)

For the born again Believer... the blood-bought member of the Body of Christ... we are called to have lives characterized by thankfulness. We are called to give thanks to the Lord because He is GOOD and His mercy endures FOREVER! (See Psalm 106:1 and so many other verses there's no room to list them!)

|
I can speak for all mankind confidently when I say: We have ALL been recipients of God's infinite mercy. How can I say that? Because Romans 6:23 says that "the wages of sin is death", and we have ALL sinned. Period. If you've ever told a lie (even a "little white one"), you were sentenced to death at that moment. But did you die?? NO!! God's mercy kept you. Why? Because His desire is that you repent and be forgiven. He loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him.

So in this season of Thanksgiving, let us turn our hearts to the One who truly deserves our thankfulness. In this season of giving, let us give Him the gratitude that He truly deserves. And not just now, in this season, but every day.

Breathe L.I.F.E. would like to give a big shout out to all the speakers, worship team, and other platform participants in our recent conference, The Encounter. And we would also like to express our appreciation to all who attended. The conference was a tremendous success, meaning that the presence of God truly ministered to all who came. We are still getting praise reports and testimonies of the many ways people were impacted by their encounter with God! We have also been touched and changed as a result. Keep it going! Keep pressing in to God's presence!And keep those testimonies rolling in!

Moonlight Ministry
|
On Saturday, 11/09/2018, Breathe L.I.F.E. will be taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets of downtown Baton Rouge. For those of you not familiar with our ministry, the Moonlight Ministry outreach takes place at midnight and focuses on reaching those who many consider unlovable and unreachable... the prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, and other night people. We will meet at 11:30 PM for prayer before heading to the downtown levee area.

Heat to the Streets

On Thanksgiving day (11/28/2018), from approximately 12 PM to 3 PM, Breathe L.I.F.E. will be going out to distribute warm weather clothing and gear to those in need, and to extend the love of God and the Word of salvation to all. We are now accepting donations of gently used blankets, coats/jackets, gloves, scarves, caps... anything that will keep a body warm when the weather gets cold. We will also be bringing food and hot drinks. Cash donations are welcome as well.
