Editor's Heart for August 2020
This year has been a whirlwind... turmoil... chaos... so much confusion and division, even in the Body of Christ. And most people seem to think the loudest voice will be the winner in the end. Yet Scripture is clear and concise. There is no confusion in the teachings of Christ. There is no chaos in what He spoke... AND is still speaking today.

At the end of the day, what counts is how you respond to our Lord and Savior. When our time on earth is done, Almighty God will not ask us how we responded to Covid 19. Seriously, can you imagine God asking, "Did you wear a mask, My child?" He will not ask how we responded to perceived social injustices or inequalities. He will not even ask how many needy people we fed or clothed or housed.

Please don't misunderstand me on this. Social injustices need to be addressed. Inequalities need to be balanced. And it is imperative that we assist those in need of food, clothing, housing, and other basics that many of us take for granted. But the main thing is, was, and always will be... How do you respond to the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you confess Him privately? Have you acknowledged to Him that YOU are a sinner in need of cleansing by His blood and the grace of salvation? Do you confess Him publicly? Do you take a stand for Him before men or are you ashamed to be "labeled" a Christian? Are you afraid to let people know that you follow and serve Jesus?

In all that we say and do, in every endeavor, let us ask God and ask ourselves... Does this say to those around me that I am a servant of the Most High God and I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."

Repentance Call
Repentance Call is heading to Destin, FL, this month! The need is great, but our God is greater! On the afternoon of August 7th, a team of spiritual warriors will head to Destin to advance the Kingdom of our God. The major outreach activities will take place throughout the day on August 8th.
|
There are various ways YOU can be involved in this Evangelistic Outreach!

#1. You may want to be a member of the outreach team for a future travel date. Reach out to find out!

#2. While the team is on the road, there will be a group of intercessors praying over the team here at home. Again... reach out to find out! Request membership in the intercessors Facebook group to be up-to-date and involved. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/295904384851550/)

#3. Finances are always needed to support outreach efforts. The team needs larger transportation, hotel rooms,

|
gas for the vehicles, meals, tracts, anointing oil, etc.

Servant's Heart Outreach
There will be no organized food/clothing outreach for the month of August. However, we often spontaneously give to the needy during our daily encounters. If you would like to donate, we typically make packs containing small containers of shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, washcloths, and other personal hygiene items. A full list of supplies needed regularly is available on request. Cash donations are welcome as well.

ALL cash donations go directly into supplying the outreaches or other ministry events. There are no salaries or personal expenses paid to any Breathe L.I.F.E. team members.

Personal Note: I would like to encourage anyone who feels a pull to be involved in some type of ministry -- dip your toes in the water by coming out on the street with us for one of these outreaches. I can't even tell you what a blessing it is to minister the Word of God to a receptive, responsive soul. The fields are white for the harvest!

Administrative Information
Breathe L.I.F.E. is now officially registered with the State of Louisiana! The last two steps remaining are registration with the City of Baton Rouge and the official 501c3 application! We still need approximately $175 for those filings. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support!
