Editor's Heart for February 2020

Philippians 3: 13-14 says, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

The prize we all seek: The upward call of God in Christ Jesus... the call to be transformed... to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world so that our lives cause men to glorify our Father (Matthew 5: 13-16). But how? How do I, with all of my own personal baggage, change into a creation of salt and light and the bringer of glory to God? By setting aside the past (forgetting those things which are behind), both the good and the bad, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead (by the grace of God and with the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus). By presenting myself to God as a living sacrifice and allowing my mind to be renewed (Romans 12: 1-2). By trusting and believing that He who began this work in me will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1: 6).

Today I encourage you: Don't be afraid of what God wants to do in you and through you. Embrace His will, His ways, His work. Leave the past in the past and press on. In Jesus' name.

Moonlight Ministry
|
On Saturday, 02/15/2020, Breathe L.I.F.E. will be taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets of downtown Baton Rouge. For those of you not familiar with our ministry, the Moonlight Ministry outreach takes place at midnight and focuses on reaching those who many consider unlovable and unreachable... prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, and other night people. This month we will be ministering on/around 3rd Street. We will meet at 11:00 PM for prayer before heading out to minister. Contact us (information below) if you would like to be involved.

Servant's Heart Outreach

On Saturday, 02/22/2020, at 11:00 AM, Breathe L.I.F.E. will be going out to minister the Word of God and the mercy of salvation to those in need... accompanied by some food and hygiene packs too! If you would like to donate, we typically make packs containing small containers of shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, washcloths, and other personal hygiene items. Cash donations are welcome as well.

Administrative Information
Breathe L.I.F.E. has prayerfully decided to pursue registration as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This registration will enable us to do a number of things that will assist us in our evangelistic purpose. We need to raise approximately $1,200.00 to file the necessary forms and copyright/trademark our name and logo. We are asking YOU to PRAY: (1) pray that the financial need will be met and the paperwork process will go smoothly; and (2) ask God how He wants you to be involved in this process.
