Editor's Heart for June 2024
God looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
|
|
We talk and sing about seeking God. We write poems and songs and books about how, when, and why to seek God. But this verse tells us clearly that God is seeking too. God is seeking those who seek Him! The Creator of All Things is looking down from His throne to see those who are seeking Him! If He is seeking us and we are seeking Him, there is NO WAY we will not find Him as He is finding us. We overcomplicate things that should be simple . We add our rituals and traditions, our methods and formulas, to God's instructions because in our futile thinking we reason that it can't be that simple... and yet IT IS! God says He's seeking to find those who are seeking Him... and He also promises that we WILL find Him when we seek Him (Jeremiah 29:13). So just seek... just look... if you are looking for Him, you will see Him everywhere that you look [note again: you only find what you are looking for]. And when you seek (desire, require) Him with your whole heart, you will find (secure, meet, acquire) Him, your heart's desire.

It's right around the corner! The first EVER HOPE Louisiana workshop and resources fair. This is the community partnership you don't want to miss. Capital Area Family Justice Center will present a simulation of the experiences of a victim of domestic violence. We will have breakout sessions led by Carolyn Williams (Healing Hearts Grief Support), Rachel Richard Robertson (Clear Minds Behavioral Health), and Holly Tupper (Unbound Now). And there will be resources galore! Come be enriched and empowered as we shine some light on the darkness of victimization in various forms.

Repentance Call Mission Trips
Stay tuned for locations of upcoming Repentance Call Mission Trips Keep praying for our nation as a whole! The need for repentance is GREAT, both in the Church and on the streets. If you've been paying attention to the news, then you know that's FOR REAL.
|
Pray for the churches/ministries in the host city:
• For laborers to be sent into the harvest. (Matt 8:38)
• To return to their first love and have the fire of God rekindled.
• To have God’s heart for the lost.
• Renewed desire to proclaim the gospel in their own city.
• To not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pray for the RC Team:
• All boldness and clarity to speak the Word of God. (Acts 4:29)
• Health and safety of the team.
• Spiritual preparation for the mission.
• Gentleness, patience, and humility to correct those who are in error. (2 Tim. 2:24-26)
• An open door for the Word to be preached. (Col. 4:2-4)
• To operate in unity and one accord as a team.
• For the world to see the love of God through their love for each other.

• For all financial needs for the mission trip to be met.
|
Pray for the lost in the host city:
• To receive salvation, deliverance, baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing. These things are the will of God, therefore we can ask with boldness.
• To break the spiritual blindness that stops them from seeing and receiving the light of the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 4:4)
• Spiritual thirst. (John 4:13-15)
• Ears to hear and hearts to receive. (Luke 8:11-15)
• To receive the truth of God’s impending judgment and to realize that His goodness is drawing them to repentance. (Romans 2:4)

Things that are needed for every mission trip include hotel/motel rooms for team members, transportation costs (rental vehicle and/or gas), food, gospel tracts, other handouts, etc.
|
|
Please pray and consider sowing a financial seed toward mission trips.
|
|
The harvest is great, but laborers are few. Every cent you donate goes directly to
|
|
the project for which it was donated. Breathe LIFE staff are not paid salaries.
|
|
|
|

ALL cash donations go directly into supplying the outreaches or other ministry events. There are no salaries or personal expenses paid to any Breathe L.I.F.E. team members.

There is ALWAYS a need...
We are ALWAYS assembling care packs to have available at all times for giving as led and able. All sorts of items are needed: wash cloth, wipes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brushes, socks, sunscreen, bug spray, dental floss, hair brushes, combs, lotion, grooming products like nail clippers and files, maxi pads, tampons etc etc etc… and Gospel tracts. Not only do these care packs distribute essential personal items to those in need, they open a door for talking about Jesus.

I'd also like to mention that as needs are brought to us, we post on social media to give all an opportunity to meet those needs. If YOU or someone you know has an immediate need, please reach out by any of the means mentioned in this newsletter. We thank those who have sown in the past.
